What is The Good AI?
The Good AI is a web-based essay writing assistant that generates rough drafts and outlines from a topic. Users can choose an essay type, tone, word count, and whether to include references. It is intended to help writers get past a blank page and explore how to structure an essay.
After generating a draft, users can edit it with an AI assistant that helps improve wording and simplify sentences. A built-in grammar checker supports proofreading, while AI autocomplete suggests the next paragraph based on the essay’s existing context. The separate essay outliner provides a starting structure for writers who prefer to develop the text themselves.
The free Basic plan supports essays of up to 250 words and includes the essay outliner. Premium costs $5 per month, raises the essay limit to 3,000 words, and adds AI autocomplete. The Good AI positions its output as inspiration rather than work to submit unchanged: users are expected to add their own insights and properly cite AI-assisted content.
