What is Glide?

Glide turns spreadsheets, files, and written instructions into business apps and AI agents. Teams can use it to build inventory trackers, field inspection tools, scheduling apps, dashboards, and other operational software. Its AI builder reads spreadsheet structures, including formulas and lookups, and creates apps that work on desktop and mobile browsers.

Users can ask questions about live business data, inspect how figures were calculated, and update records across connected apps. Shared data keeps field teams and office staff working from the same information. Templates provide starting points, while integrations connect spreadsheets, databases, and other business tools. Supported external assistants, including Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT, can also build through MCP.

Apps are private by default, with permissions controlling access to information and actions. Enterprise options add single sign-on, audit logs, and a choice of LLM provider. The current GlideOS offering has its own subscription, separate from Glide Classic. Its free plan supports building and experimentation, but publishing apps requires a paid plan.
